- 1 lb ground meat, I prefer turkey
- 1 cup dried kidney beans
- 1 cup dried pinto beans
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper (red and/or green)
- 1/2 cup frozen corn
- 1 can chopped green chilies
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp oregano
Combine everything in the crock pot. Cook on high for 2 hours then turn to low for an additional 3 to 4 hours until beans are soft.
